The Team
Our Regional Delivery Centers will partner with field teams in sales, business development, Advanced Services, and Technical Services to ensure a One Cisco customer alignment from opportunity development through engagement execution.

The Program Manager role will lead Complex Service Transitions to drive consistency and quality of scope of deliverables (scope), milestone management (time), risk and issue management (Quality) and overall reporting across the various project work streams. Based on PMP or PRINCE2 Project Management Framework.

The Program Manager has oversight of the scope and status of the project streams in a Service Transition Program and can use this oversight to support project-level activity to ensure the Program goals are met.

This role provides a decision-making capacity that cannot be achieved at project or stream level or by providing the project manager with a program perspective when required, or as a sounding board for ideas and approaches to solving project issues that have program impacts. In a program there is a need to identify and manage cross-project dependencies and support multiple projects or streams, have sufficient insight of the risk, issues, requirements, design or overall Transition solution, and to be able to manage these challenges.

The program manager role is to provide this insight by actively seeking out such information from the project managers of the streams, in order to be comfortable that the overall program goals are achievable and effectively being managed.

As a Program Manager for the Service Transition team, in the CMS Regional Centre, you your roles and responsibilities will be setting up and managing the various project work steams across the following areas of a Service Transition project:

Initiating: Those processes performed to define a new project or a new phase of an existing project by obtaining authorization to start the project or phase
Planning: Those processes required to establish the scope of the project, refine the objectives, and define the course of action required to attain the objectives that the project was undertaken to achieve
* Creates a project delivery schedule that includes resource, and material requirements.
* Leverages processes, templates, and checklists required to ensure that the project include all the work required to complete the project successfully and on time.
* The RACI defines the responsibilities of the various roles involved in the Service Transition project and is managed along with the Project Plan. A version of this that relates to the Operation of the Managed Service post go live, will then be incorporated into the Runbook support.
Executing: Those processes performed to complete the work defined in the project management plan to satisfy the project specifications
* Accountable for the delivery of Transition project outputs and the management of schedule, scope, quality, reports, communication and risk.
* Measured around Execution effectives, efficiency, speed, stakeholder satisfaction and quality.
Monitoring and Controlling: Those processes required to track, review, and regulate the progress and performance of the project; identify any areas in which changes to the plan are required; and initiate the corresponding changes.
* On-time delivery: meet milestones and target completion dates
* Quality of project delivery: consistent communications, effective and seamless mitigation of risk, issue resolution, and scope management
* Compliance with standard processes and methodologies
* Assesses data and information and makes timely, effective decisions with consideration for both the long and short term business needs.
* Engages and persuades people to take action and make decisions aimed to further business objectives.
Closing: Those processes performed to finalize all activities across all Process Groups to formally close the project or phase

The role will also require the following knowledge areas:
* Cisco Services: Develop good understanding of the CMS Service and Delivery
* Governance: The structure, process, and procedure to control operations and changes to scope, budget, risks and performance objectives. Governance must include a set of metrics to report on the health and progress of the program in the most vital areas required by the stakeholders.
* Alignment and Integration: Ensuring the individual Project Managers for each stream understand their scope, how their milestones will interact with other streams and the overall purpose and scope of the program.
* Assurance: Ensure the overall system meets the Service Transition goals and balance risks and issues in each stream.
* Overall budget: Balance costs and resource usage between the streams to meet the overall program targets.
* Consolidation of project plans to a high level program plan: Have a live high level plan of the overall program for stakeholders and to manage key alignment and integration points between the streams.
* Program communication : Manage the stakeholder communications based on their vital areas and KPIs.
* Improvement planning: Continual assessment of performance across all the streams to ensure overall program quality within the constraints of scope, budget and time.
* Take responsibility and drive multiple Programs

Minimum Qualifications, Skills, Experience, Certifications:
* Bachelor's degree in Information Technology/ Telecommunications. University degree in other fields/ specializations will be considered, if the candidate has relevant experience
* 10+ years relevant experience as a Project Manager implementing IT infrastructure projects
* 3+ years relevant experience as a Program Manager implementing IT infrastructure projects
* Customer facing experience in a multi-national/ multi-cultural environment
* Experience working with cross functional stakeholders
* PMP/ Prince 2 Practitioner Certified. Candidates with foundation level certifications will be considered if they can demonstrate experience in implementing IT infrastructure projects.
* ITIL Foundation knowledge, certification is a plus.
* English language. Proficiency in other languages is a plus.
