What You'll Do

This position requires an ability to effectively manage predetermined initiatives, time lines, and resources related to those initiatives. In most cases you will be the coordinator of coordinators. The ideal candidate should have mature project management skills to be able to influence the performance of component projects; you are not managing these projects - rather resolving inter-project priorities, dependencies and risks.


The ideal candidate has extensive industry experience, large scale program management experience, background in telecommunications, is comfortable working in a cross-functional team environment, and has leadership skills and experience working with large project teams. The team leader is open to a candidate not having all these attributes provided that they are open to being mentored to achieve this level of experience.

Cisco Account Team – Research

Carriers – DBL, FED EX, UPS, Expeditors

Research Orders

Track Orders – Contract Manufactures & Cisco

Third Party Management

Provide cost guidelines during RFx phases

Maintain a portfolio of reusable products and pricing

Manage Third Party (Supplier) negotiations and communications

Create back-to-back contracts for resale of products

Provide Third Party COE support to account teams throughout deal process

Provide Supplier escalation / issue resolution


Third Party Product Documentation

Create Cisco Third Party Product ID (PID) for hardware and software

Obtain product compliance documentation


Who You Are

Are you overseeing multiple strategic initiatives across Cisco that impact Cisco overall vision and strategy? Do you currently identify and then program manage strategic projects and programs aimed at accomplishing broad, long-term strategic objectives such as enhancing revenue, improving quality and/or efficiency? Do you have experience coordinating efforts gear to improving processes, affecting cost savings, advancing services solution development? Do you have experience investigating activities impacting talent management, advancing teammate capabilities, implementing new corporate initiatives, and/or other strategic priorities? Are you presenting and representing service business value to internal stakeholders?


If so, our minimum requirements for this role are:



•Formulate, organize and monitor inter-connected projects

•Decide on suitable strategies and objectives

•Coordinate cross-project activities

•Lead and evaluate project managers and other staff

•Develop and control deadlines, budgets and activities

•Apply change, risk and resource management

•Assume responsibility for the program’s people and vendors

•Assess program performance and aim to maximize ROI

•Resolve projects’ higher scope issues

•Prepare reports for program directors



•Proven experience as a Program Manager or other managerial position

•Thorough understanding of project/program management techniques and methods

•Excellent Knowledge of performance evaluation and change management principles

•Excellent knowledge of MS Office; working knowledge of program/project management software (Basecamp, MS Project etc.) is a strong advantage

•Outstanding leadership and organizational skills

•Excellent communication skills

•Excellent problem-solving ability

•BSc/BA diploma in management or a relevant field; MSc/MA is a plus
