What You'll Do

Cisco’s Professional Services team in the Global Service Provider space work with some of Cisco’s largest and most complex customers to transform the networks that are at the heart of the industry’s digital transformation. You’ll be at the intersection of leading edge technology and our customers’ most important business issues.

Who You'll Work With

As a Solutions Integration Architect, you will be a part of the Client Relationship Team who leads the ongoing Services relationship with our customers. You will be responsible for
developing the overall vision for professional services in the next networking industry transition for Service Providers, bringing the concepts of Network CI/CD, workflow-driven operations and big data analytics around Cisco solutions to our customers and the industry.

You will work across multiple customers and teams to translate single solutions into repeatable solutions that can be leveraged across a larger customer base. You will have significant customer interaction including architecting and leading early stage pilots, and sharing your thought leadership in various industry forums. You may travel up to 50% per year throughout the world.

You will execute and implement by leading across multiple constituents across and beyond Cisco’s Advanced Services to drive Services-wide engagements.

Who You Are

  • recognize needs for our customers to convert technology to value and translate them into business requirements and an execution strategy spanning across architectural boundaries
  • You develop the overall vision that underlies the customer-centric solution, and play a primary role in the design and implementation of that end-to-end solution, exploring how to develop and integrate new software solutions in and around network automation and network software development
  • You translate single solutions into repeatable solutions that can be leveraged across a larger customer base. Using your knowledge of SP operational processes and previous leadership of customer software development projects, you define solutions to meet your customers’ needs and drive and track success measures.
  • You excel at simplifying and explaining the complex. You establish deep and strategic customer and industry relationships, interfacing with and influencing senior level executives in Cisco’s top customer accounts, across other Cisco organizations, and in recognized industry fora.
  • BS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • 12+ years of experience in customer centric roles, within technical delivery, IT, or pre-sales product engineering. 
  • Must be proficient at programming in Python, Java, Linux Shell (and willing to learn the others)
  • Knowledge of configuration management tools such as Chef, Puppet, Ansible.
  • Understanding of software development tools such as source code management, continuous integration/delivery/deployment.
  • Experience and desire to architect and write clean, testable code with automated tests.
  • Hands-on experience with Service Providers across several disciplines including IP networking, Data Center, Cloud and Security, software automation, SDV, NFV & controllers like Open Daylight / Openstack, OpenvSwitch is required. 
  • Familiar with network automation and methods for interacting with devices using Netconf/Yang, RESTful APIs or other.
  • Ability to position and propose solutions outside of traditional IT buyer.  Possess core skills in: problem solving, negotiating, business writing, customer relationship management, effective presentation, and active listening.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify gaps and drive innovation solutions that close the gaps into the portfolio and into the accounts covered. Ability to deliver long term, strategic business relationships that bring business growth results.
  • Financial Acumen – Understand finance and P&L process and standards. 
  • Requires proven and effective leadership and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with others through conflicting pressures and priorities while resolving complex issues. 
  • Significant previous experience of requirements gathering and solution design in a commercial setting.
  • Knowledge of IP Networking, datacenter network technologies

Desired Skills

  • MS or MBA is desirable
  • Experience leading projects utilizing machine learning based analytics in network operations domain
