What You’ll Do

This role is an important function with a charter to accelerate Cisco’s Advanced Services sales through direct (Cisco) and indirect (Partners) sales. You will need to understand the advanced services portfolio, understand the gaps/challenges in terms of the customers/partners businesses and be able to convert those challenges into viable business outcomes. You will provide actionable insight to the sales community facilitating increased market share and expanded addressable market.

Other responsibilities include:


  • Establish internal communications strategy that ensures organizational initiatives and projects are successfully communicated to employees and shareholders
  • Assist in planning, coordinating and implementing strategic enablement communications initiatives.
  • Lead the branding efforts to ensure brand quality and to highlight the organization’s competitive advantages.
  • Assist enablement and programs team with messaging and editing.
  • Interlock with stakeholders and business partners to ensure Advanced Services content is embedded into assets.

Demand Generation:

  • Identify business opportunities through data analytics and business intelligence sources.
  • Measure the effectiveness of AS enablement and sales programs.
  • Develop sales programs to drive incremental AS bookings including pricing and incentives.
  • Partner with Field Implementation, Business Development and Program leaders in positioning identified opportunities.
  • Interlock with key stakeholders and business partners.

Who You'll Work With

As part of this fast paced, acceleration team, you will help develop and implement GTM acceleration plans, campaigns, incentives and communications. This involves working with Cisco Services/Product Sales, Partner teams, and the Global Virtual Sales & Customer Success organization.

Who You Are

You are a strong leader with player/coach abilities. You are self-motivated, dedicated, eager and willing to work collaboratively with stakeholders in sales, GPO and other cross functional organizations. You have strong written and oral communication skills, with ability to articulate complex technology and service solutions including ROI.

Our minimum requirements are as follows:

  • BS/BA degree or equivalent plus 10+ years of related experience
  • Ability to identify and gain access to data sources.
  • Experience in analyzing data, business intelligence and identifying business opportunities.
  • Experience in sales or business development.
  • Understanding of product and AS Service offers and customer/partner value proposition.
  • Experienced in building and implementing business intelligence strategy/programs.
  • Ability to build or assist in communications strategies for messaging data/metrics-related programs/initiatives.
  • Ability to work and influence cross functionally between Advanced Services, GCS, and Global Partner Organization PAMs & PSDMs as well as Cisco resellers.
  • Ability to work independently across all organizational levels without large support structure.
  • Willingness to travel and spend time onsite with key partners and/or customers.
  • Experience building marketing collateral, and business value proposition materials
  • Executive level communications and presentation abilities.
