What You'll Do

You will have the opportunity to work with the largest mobile operators in the world. In this critical role as a Customer Support Engineer, you will:

  • Collaborate with the most important Service Providers in the industry.
  • Develop expertise in Service Provider Mobility technologies.
  • Solve interesting problems for important customers.
  • Shape the future of Cisco's Mobility offerings.

You will support via email, phone and remote access for ASR 5000, ASR 5500 and UCS product family. You will work with customers to restore services and provide root cause analysis within the service level agreements and we work closely with Business Units (BU), Advance Services (AS) and Account teams to provide the premium customer support.

  • You provide second line phone/email/fax consultation to independently debug complex product problems
  • Acts as a focal point for large account network problem resolution
  • Engage with BU on software and solution based issues

Minimum Qualifications

  • You have a BS in a technical field (CS/EE preferred) or equivalent plus 6-8 years related experience
  • You work independently and bring solid crisis management skills
  • Ability to work on problems of diverse scope where analysis requires evaluation of identifiable factors
  • Deep knowledge of telecommunication systems and network environments
  • Ability to analyze, use and configure medium and large enterprise/SP networks

Desired Skills

  • You've got a Masters degree (CS/EE preferred) with a technical focus
  • You bring proven knowledge of Routing Protocols BGP, MPLS, and OSPF.
  • Completion of CCNA/NP (highly desired)
  • Mobility 3G / 4G / LTE /QvPC experience - Working knowledge of VMWare, OpenStack, Linux and work on Cisco Mobility applications like NSO, PCRF and ESC is preferred.
  • Consultative communication skills to provide recommendations and influence others
