With the shift toward as-a-service consumption, the Cloud & Managed Services (CMS) team within Cisco Services has been formed to create and deliver a targeted portfolio of Managed Services and Cloud Services to our top customers and partners.

What You'll Do

The Enablement Program Manager role provides oversight and programmatic management of various activities and projects related to field and sales enablement in Cisco Managed Services (CMS).  This role will report to the Senior Manager of Enablement in CMS's Operations group.  The role will include the following tasks as well as others not specifically called out here.

 

·        Oversee and/or manage programs and activities related to CMS field and staff enablement, create and deliver program status presentations, and help devise roadmaps and priorities for ongoing enablement programs.

·        Oversee teams and individuals toward program schedules and identify risks and risk mitigation while ultimately delivering a superior field and staff enablement experience and achieving the common objective of ensuring our employees have the enablement information needed to succeed.

·        Recognize and resolve program issues and coordinate appropriate escalation including managing stakeholder relationships among various CMS groups and individuals.

·        Work closely with our other internal stakeholders to identify areas of improvement that deliver better enablement programs in line with our continuous improvement goals.

·        Support identification of organizational & business improvement opportunities using quantitative analysis to drive decision-making and improvement of processes and tools.

Program management is critical to the ongoing growth and success of Cisco Managed Services. You'll play an integral role in the managed services practice tying enablement program results to overall CMS business goals, resulting in better market positioning of our managed services in the enterprise and service provider markets. You will be able to collaborate with cross-functional teams and solve for business efficiency problems, ultimately making the program run better and more effectively. You will be involved in the definition, planning, management, and delivery of various activities under the umbrella of the enablement program.


Who You Are

The ideal program manager for this role possesses an undergraduate degree in Marketing, Business/Sales, IT, or an equivalent liberal arts field with 5 to 7 years of professional experience managing projects and programs in a dynamic environment, preferably related to training or personnel enablement in a technology organization.  The successful candidate will possess most if not all of the following attributes:
 

  • Basic knowledge of software tools is required (such as the Office suite, project management software, and graphical design tools).
  • Self-motivated and highly ambitious to learn and contribute to the success of the overall enablement program.
  • Very strong written and verbal communication skills including presentation skills and organizational abilities, as well as strong interpersonal skills--you should enjoy working with lots of different types of professionals and being at the center of activities!
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously and work toward long-term goals and milestones, as well as to perform gap analyses to determine lessons learned and to improve best practices of the program.
  • Program or project management experience leading major initiatives from start to finish:  7 to 10 years
  • Requirements gathering and assessment of needs:  7 to 10 years
  • Enablement, training, or educational development:  3 to 5 years
  • High proficiency with Office suite (PowerPoint, Word, Excel)
  • Marketing or sales experience a plus but not required
