What You'll Do

You will research M&A/US international tax issues, draft memos for file management review, and manage / drive the integration process across all phases of engagement - due diligence, planning, executing and closing to deliver outstanding integration related activity.

You will also be responsible for (but not limited to) the following:

  • Tax due diligence and operational discovery
  • Acquisition structuring (domestic and US international)
  • Tax integration step plan development and US international restructuring
  • Project planning related to Tax matters
  • Collaborate with cross functional integration teams
  • Utilize project management templates to ensure structured tax approach and timely execution
  • Prepare gap analysis and risk assessment documentation
  • Provide Tax expertise to cross-functional teams in order to ensure successful acquisition and integration of the target company into mainstream tax processes
  • Manage tax advisors
  • Budget management

Who You'll Work With

You will join the M&A/US International Tax Planning team. You will work with other subject matter experts in Cisco's Global Tax and Customs. You’ll also collaborate with cross-functional partners such as Finance, Accounting, Treasury, Legal, HR, Payroll/Stock, Corporate Development Integration, etc.

Who You Are

  • You have strong analytical skills; exceptional US tax research skills (LEXIS/BNA, etc) and technical memo drafting
  • You demonstrate strong communication skills (verbal and written), with strong presentation, preparation and delivery skills
  • You have knowledge of Tax operations in a corporate setting
  • You have the ability to lead change by demonstrating excellent program and project management expertise
  • You demonstrate a quick study and are highly motivated with high energy, stamina, and sense of humor - - - it's the culture

Minimum requirements for this role:

  • You hold a CPA, JD, and/or Masters in Tax (preferably)
  • You have over 5+ years in public accounting and/or industry experience with M&A. You may also have US international tax experience and/or M&A tax, and tax accounting backgrounds.
