What You'll Do:

The Nexus Data Center Switching (DCS) group is looking for a motivated and experienced New Product Program Manager (NPPM) to drive the development activities on NPI HW programs from pre-concept to FCS. Your responsibilities include: 

  • Manage Engineering relationships. Act as primary interface to Engineering Product teams.
  • Comprehensive analysis and mitigation of business and technical risks for Product Operations and Engineering.
  • Early engagement and assessment of MFG issues for new business or product ideas prior to concept commit to scope project and create robust project plan.
  • Lead project team engagement and execution to enable various offer enablement, including HW, SW subscription, and bundles. 
  • Managing programs from concept to Launch with strong program management fundamentals. Manages the lifecycle of the compliance to all the defined quality gates. Influence manufacturing capacity / capability, design stability, risk planning.
  • Supplier selection, development and monitoring. Optimal supply chain design, development and evolution.
  • Report on schedule, cost and resources throughout the project, accountable for overall scope, cost, quality, and delivery for program.
  • Plan and implement risk, communication and stakeholder management while driving issues to timely resolution. Oversee and prioritize risk mitigation strategies (multi-source tech assessment, component, cost variance, supply chain review, and input)
  • Actively seeks and incorporates best practices and results from post-project assessments into new products
  • Deep understanding and experience with BOM and COGs 

Who You'll Work With

This NPPM role is highly visible and you will closely work with and influence HW & SW Engineering, Marketing, Manufacturing and EMS suppliers in determining strategy and execution of several NPI product developments in worldwide manufacturing.

Who You Are

  • Requires BA/BS degree or equivalent training plus 8+ years NPI, Process Development & Program Management experience. MBA degree is a plus.
  • Extensive background in Prod/Mfg Operations, Quality and Supply Chain Management. Experience in High Tech Telecommunications or Networking Equipment industry highly desired.
  • Deep understanding and experience with BOM and COGs.
  • Experience of working in a New Product Introduction (NPI) MFG environment with Contract Manufacturers and ODM/JDM suppliers. Experience in Product Life Cycle Management is a plus.
  • Extensive experience in process development
  • Energetic, outstanding ability in learning. Must be comfortable working in dynamic and changing environment
  • Excellent executive level communication and influencing skills
  • Demonstrated experience leading with cross-functional impact
  • Exceptional Collaborator & Team skills
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills to effectively interact with internal and external stakeholders
  • Basic knowledge or experience in SW development, release, and subscription models
