What You'll Do

In this critical role, you will be part of the America's Global Deal Acceleration Team. The DAT Team is a crucial sales support enabler for Cisco's Advanced Services. The Business Development Operations Manager acts as a Deal Accelerator, and manages sales opportunities across the lead to order phase interfacing with key stakeholders from Sales and Services Delivery. 

The Deal Accelerator acts as a project manager for deals in the Propose and Agree phases of the sales process. The DAT manages deals from Project ID assignment to SOW completion, including the creation of quotes, proposals and SOWs. 

Responsibilities include:

  • Facilitate and monitor deals from PID assignment to SOW completion, serving as primary point of contact for Sales / BDM during Propose and Agree phases of Sales Process
  • Provide process visibility through ongoing communications to Sales / BDMs regarding deal status and escalations
  • Identify deal categorization, and repurpose/reroute deals that have been improperly segmented
  • Drive collaboration between DAT Estimating Support, Scoping and Proposal Advisor, and Sales / BDM to accelerate deals from PID to proposal
  • Present quotes and proposals to Sales / BDM for customer review
  • Collaborate with Scoping and Proposal Advisor and Sales / BDM to refine deliverables based on customer feedback, requirements, and needs
  • Draft SOW upon approval of quote and proposal
  • Conduct quality control of all deliverables
  • Create proposals and SOWs for Fast Track and Express Review deals, confirming data and template accuracy
  • Confirm when to engage BDM for strategic opportunities

Who You'll Work With

The successful candidate will be a core member of the Deal Acceleration Team and contribute to the continuous improvement of results and talent assessment of capacity, competency needs, and career progression. The Deal Accelerator will drive a cross functional governance process and ensure that the Deal Acceleration Team works collaboratively with Business Development, Sales and the Customer Relationship Teams to successfully execute business process.

This role will work closely with the Advanced Services Business Development and Transformation Office teams to drive the strategy and planning for global proposal management working towards delivery of significant increases in AS win rate, proposal quality, and customer experience scores. 

Who You Are

You are great team player with a track record of success in multi organization orchestration of business processes. You have prior experience using web driven pricing, forecasting and approval process tools and if not familiar with such tools, then the willingness and flair to ramp up quickly will be required. You have proven leadership and collaboration skills with the ability to work cross functionally while being able to handle conflicting pressures and priorities.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelors In Business, Arts or Science
  • 5 -7  Years of Professional Experience
  • Experience in Professional Services, Services Delivery or Business Operations
  • Sales Support Experience is a plus
  • MBA/Master is a plus

  • Strong understanding of Sales and Lead to Order Process, including proficiency with key systems (e.g. CCW, MDM, Contract Express)
