You will be a SOX Testing Specialist with the SOX Program Management Office, which executes a company-wide program for SOX 404 continuous compliance. You'll be empowered to make a difference, build a solid reputation, and position yourself for continued growth. You will support the SOX Process Leads by communicating functional knowledge for walkthroughs, corporate wide projects and other initiatives. Additionally, you will advocate education by effectively communicating to our business partners, including non-finance individuals, on the importance of controls, maintaining an effective control environment and their role in assuring compliance.

  • Partner with SOX Process Lead within the SOX PMO for the execution of core SOX activities.
  • Testing execution of defined internal controls for Leasing & Supply Chain processes and any other processes as needed.
  • Participate in Walkthrough discussions with business partners and external auditors.
  • Participate in the design evaluation of the controls.
  • Updating and/or implement SOX control verbiage and test plans as warranted.
  • Execute quarterly testing of operational effectiveness of key financial controls.
  • Maintain changes/updates in the SOX System of Record (Bwise).
  • Prepare and report out metrics to PMO Management and cross-functionally to Process Team Leads.


You will work as a part of a highly skilled team primarily tasked with providing specific guidance and managing accountability for program ownership for various Sarbanes-Oxley initiatives within the financial space. Cisco’s Finance Operations Sector drives internal processes for the greater financial enterprise.

  • Bachelor’s degree required with a strong academic record (CPA preferred).
  • Minimum of 2-4 years of Finance/Accounting or equivalent experience.
  • Excellent organization skills detail oriented.
  • Ability to communication effectively with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Comfortable working with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong accounting and analytical skills with proven ability to apply knowledge.
  • Familiar with Bwise or other risk/compliance-based software (SAP Business Objects reporting experience preferred).
