Main Purpose:
The purpose of the lead account manager role is to lead a group of 3-5 customer service representatives to support the North American Beverage & Quaker(NABQ) business. Overview of such services include daily order entry, load execution updates, capacity planning, account development / expansion, proactive issue resolution, load coverage, and customer collaboration on all logistics matters.

Total customer freight under management of approximately $30-40MM per year.


  • Strong working knowledge of customer's supply chain, requirements, and new initiatives (Favorable service perception via customers perspective)
  • Timely support and oversight of load management from order placement to delivery to include proactive issue resolution ( > 92 On Time Delivery %)
  • Account development and business growth (gross revenue growth % to LY)
  • Support of daily work flow including load coverage and customer issue resolution
  • Negotiate spot and long term pricing for new and existing customers
  • Engage in prospecting activities to secure new customers

Scope of Interactions:

  • 70% Internal Business - NABQ
  • 30% External - customers and asset based carriers


  • Bachelors degree in Supply Chain is preferred
  • At least one year of transportation brokerage experience is required
  • Ability to effectively interact and build a favorable business relationship with all customers
  • Demonstrated ability to anticipate customer's needs and provide solutions
  • Drive for Results to excel at customer service and account development
  • Ability to learn key freight brokerage dynamics and industry best practices to excel at role
  • Ability to learn brokerage pricing techniques and tools to effectively quote freight
  • Ability to effectively negotiate a desired outcome
  • Ability to operate and flourish in a fast paced business start up
  • Strong team player and committed to teamwork in all situations
  • Willingness to embrace change and all other assigned duties for the greater good of the team.
