What You'll Do

You will Work with the CenturyLink Team to support the second largest network in the world.  CenturyLink is a $25 billion company with the second largest MPLS network in the world.  You will lead the Cisco strategy to grow our market share and influence across the multiple domains of the network franchise.

The goal of this role is to drive sales by establishing trusted, advisory relationships with network planners, executives and the CenturyLink teams in the field.   This role focuses on understanding the customer's strategy, their needs and their business requirements in order to recommend the appropriate solution and to close complex, transformational deals. This role also focuses on achieving revenue goals; forecasting accurately on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly schedule; developing a pipeline of opportunities; creating account plans; and closing deals. 

Who You'll Work With

You’ll work with a team of account managers, SE’s, CSM and others to develop and execute your strategy.  You’ll also draw on the global service provider team to bring the best thinking inside Cisco to your client. 

Who You Are

You are an account manager with a proven track record of success.  You are creative, self-motivated and thrive in working in a collaborative, fast-paced, challenging team environment. You're well-versed in developing and executing a strategy to drive incremental business through direct customer contact, partner engagement and engineering engagements. You have comfort managing VP relationships and the ability to influence cross-functional teams to solve business challenges. You are able to think outside of the box to overcome objections and to deliver compelling solutions.  You don’t know what the word “NO” means.  You are able to develop and execute strategy.

Role & Responsibilities include: 

* Proactively engage with customer executives, decision makers and influencers to sustain and build deep relationships to become a trusted adviser.

* Demonstrate strong technical and business knowledge with complementary skills to understand customer business requirements and align to Cisco solutions to close strategic opportunities. 

* Engage resources including Cisco Business Units to drive necessary development and prioritize account team needs. 

* Negotiate issues with peers, partners and customers using a Win/Win philosophy. 

* Work in a cross-matrix management organization with the ability to offer direct and indirect influence. 

* Ability to position end-to-end solutions and articulate complex technical vision to mid-level and senior customer executives is essential. 

* Ability to articulate Cisco's product and business strategies, as well as create demand for Cisco solutions. 

* Must be able to adjust the value proposition to the different levels of the customer organization

Minimum Qualifications:

* Track record of success

* BA/BS or equivalent experience required

* 5+years successful sales experience

* Strong understanding and experience with Datacenter products & environment

* Exceptional communications skills

* Demonstrated success with selling to C-level management teams

* Demonstrated experience managing a large customer

* Must have the ability to deliver business value to the account and build on strong customer relationships
