You will Work with the Comcast Account Team to support their Next Gen Data Center and web scale initiatives.  Comcast is experiencing massive growth through their disruptive and “un-carrier” approach to the market. Cisco, as a trusted advisor, has and will continue to play a big role in their network and service evolution as they evolve their network to support virtualization, orchestration & automation and cloud solutions. This role will entail developing and executing strategies and sales structure to drive business through customer relationships in Denver and Philadelphia, gaining alignment of Cisco solutions with Comcast business/architecture needs, and the ecosystem.

The goal of this role is to drive sales by establishing trusted, advisory relationships with various customer executives. This role focuses on understanding the customer's strategy, their needs and their business requirements in order to recommend the appropriate solution and to close complex, transformational deals. This role also focuses on achieving revenue goals; forecasting accurately on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly schedule; developing a pipeline of opportunities; creating account plans; and closing deals.

Who You Are

You are a creative and self-motivated Account Manager. You're well-versed in developing and executing a strategy to drive incremental business through direct customer contact, partner engagement and Engineering engagements. You have comfort managing VP relationships and the ability to influence cross-functional teams to solve business challenges. You are able to think outside of the box to overcome objections and to deliver compelling solutions.

Role & Responsibilities include: 

       * Account Management for West division contacts in Denver to drive purchases of Cisco solutions, including backbone, optical, CMTS, HFC, and the IT infrastructure, i.e. Wifi, building network, Call Center, VDI, Collab                                                                                                    

            * Sales planning and strategy collaboration with other Division and Philadelphia based account managers to drive Cisco solutions in West Division

* Demonstrated knowledge of managing a large Service Provider account; sales presentations and short-term and long-term opportunity management essential.

* Must have the ability to deliver business value to the account and build on strong customer relationships.

* Strong data center, video, encoding and network transformation knowledge along with familiarity of the Development Operations model and complimentary skills to understand customer business requirements and align to Cisco solutions and Comcast strategic opportunities.

* Experience in engaging and leveraging resources across Cisco Business Units to drive necessary development and prioritizing account team needs.

* Demonstrate the necessary skills to negotiate issues with peers, partners and customers using a Win/Win philosophy.

* Must be able to work in a cross matrix management organization with the ability to offer direct and indirect influence.

* The ability to position end to end solutions and articulate complex technical vision to mid-level and senior customer executives is essential.

* Must be an aggressive self-starter who can articulate Cisco's product and business strategies, as well as create demand for Cisco solutions.

* Must be able to adjust the value proposition to the different levels of the customer organization.

Minimum Qualifications:

* Experience in Service Provider networking industry required.

* Minimum of 5 years successful sales experience.

* BA/BS or equivalent required

* Strong understanding of production data centers including: compute, storage, and applications a strong plus.

* Detailed knowledge of Video, Encoding, Data Center, Ethernet Core and Access Technologies/ Topologies.

* Demonstrated success with selling to C-level management teams.

* Ability to structure successful sales steps to closure into dev ops environment, working with customers in lab/next gen arch creation

* Must be seasoned in defending an installed base against strong competition and unseating incumbents within the account.

* BA/BS or equivalent experience required

* 5+years successful sales experience

* Strong understanding and experience with Datacenter products & environment

* Exceptional communications skills

* Demonstrated success with selling to C-level management teams

* Demonstrated experience managing a large customer

* Must have the ability to deliver business value to the account and build on strong customer relationships
