Description:

Enabling Solutions Operations Accounting & Tax Services is seeking an Accounting Specialist to support the Group Insurance disability functions and business unit initiatives.  The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the accounting and banking functions related to the disability Third Party Administrators and the Administrative Services Only (ASO) product, and collaborating with stakeholders to communicate and resolve issues. 

 

Responsibilities include:

·        Complete daily, weekly and monthly proofs and reconciliations.

·        Act as the accounting and banking liaison with third party administrators

·        Support the new account set-up and on-going support and reconciliation processes for the Administrative Services Only business in relation to accounting and banking

·         Maintain standard operating procedures

·         Provide project management support


·         Undergraduate business degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent work experience

·         Minimum 4 years of accounting or banking experience, particularly disability or payroll preferred

·         Exceptional PC skills including Excel, PowerPoint and Word

·         Detail-oriented, eager, willing to learn

·         Ability to meet deadlines, prioritize assignments, problem-solve and multi-task

·         Strong analytical skills with the ability analyze issues and data, extract trends and summarize the analysis appropriately based on the audience.

·         Adaptable to different stakeholders and audiences, including senior business leaders

·     Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively both independently and in a team environment.  Excellent verbal and written communication skills

This job is exempt and therefore not eligible for overtime.
