The Group Insurance Financial Operations Reporting Team reports and analyzes Group Insurance financial information for premiums, commissions and Third Party Vendors. They provide financial control support to Group Insurance Operations through account reconciliation, management and financial reporting, and disbursement processing.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Analyze and report earned premium monthly to GI Finance Area
Review Aged Accounts receivable
Calculate/remit various third party vendor fees monthly
Report/analyze incurred Commissions
Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations
Work with both internal and external sources to ensure proper reporting of financial data
Research and problem-solve. Assist in the maintenance of accounting records and the preparation of standardized reports
Interfaces with business areas to obtain information in the research and resolution of reconciliation differences, and performs analytical work to complete monthly reporting.
Census Review – Conducts audits of Group Insurance Clients to ensure the validity of the premiums paid to Prudential and provides detailed review of client administration records and comparison to the plan of benefits. Computes the proper premium based on enrollment data and contractual benefit information. This data is then compared to actual premium remittances to determine the accuracy of client payments.

Undergraduate degree in accounting preferred
5 years of proven experience in financial reporting and analysis
- Strong accounting, research and analytical skills
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to drive process improvement
- Strong computer skills, Proficiency in Excel is required. (Working knowledge of Access and Prudential financial systems applications a plus)

- Ability to work in a fast-paced, challenging environment.
