Dealertrack, a Cox Automotive Brand, is currently looking for an Accounting Specialist I to join our team in North Hills, NY.

The Accounting Specialist I has a dual role within the Accounting Operations team, with a specific focus on billing support (75%) and contracts processing (25%).  This individual will be responsible for providing frontline, billing-related service and call support to internal and external clients.  They will also be responsible for ensuring contracts are processed in a timely and efficient manner allowing for accurate product installations and billing.  In this role, direct interaction with Customers, Sales, Implementation, Accounts Receivable, and Collections as well as other Business leaders across Cox Automotive Retail Solutions is required.

The Role:

  • Answer inbound billing related inquiries, via phone and email, from external and internal clients
  • Reviewing, understanding, and conversing with clients regarding their contract terms, invoicing, and accounts receivable balances
  • Presenting information to clients clearly and concisely and documenting this information appropriately in Salesforce and SAP
  • Collaborate within the Accounting Operations Team as well as other internal teams (e.g. Sales, Retention, Business Leadership) as needed to resolve all client inquiries
  • Verify contract information to ensure all pertinent information has been completed and submitted properly.
  • Ensure all contracts are entered correctly into SAP for billing purposes, within set SLA and 100% accuracy


  • Experience with Salesforce and SAP preferred
  • Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint preferred
  • Must be able to multitask and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, ability to stay calm in high pressure situations, and speak confidently to internal and external clients

Required Experience:

  • High school/GED required.  Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 2-4 years’ experience required
  • Experience in Customer Service and Auto Retailing industry preferred
