Position Description

The ACO Account Manager is responsible for successful Value Based contract negotiation and implementation ensuring compliance with network requirements.  This includes coordinating with enterprise - wide Clinically Integrated Network teams that focus on executed Value Based Contracts to improve the quality and affordability through improvements in appropriateness and effectiveness.  ACO Account Manager may perform Value Based contract analysis and strategy development and implementation; obtain data, verify validity of data, and analyze data as required, and analyze network availability and access.  Other responsibilities may also include making recommendations regarding the future growth of the Value Based deal.   

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Partner with providers, IPA’s and ACO’s to negotiate and implement sound Value Based deals
  • Anticipate customer needs and proactively develop solutions to meet them
  • Serve as a key resource on complex and / or critical issues for our internal and external partners
  • Solve complex problems and develop innovative solutions
  • May lead functional or segment teams or projects
  • Provide explanations and information to others on the most complex issues
  • Motivate and inspire other team members


Required Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent work experience
  • 1+ years of experience in Managed Care contracting
  • 1+ years of experience with contract submission, validation and maintenance
  • Intermediate level of proficiency with all ACO / provider / facility contract reimbursement methodologies
  • Strong knowledge of business processes that impact ACO / provider / facility contact loading and auditing
  • Intermediate proficiency in MS Office (Excel and PowerPoint)
  • Must live within commutable distance of the location listed for this specific career opportunity
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Value Based or Population Health contracting experience
  • Project Management experience
  • Excellent communication skills required including ability to communicate effectively with various levels of leadership
