The Actuarial Associate, Retirement Risk Strategy & Analytics, is a position on the in-force management team within our Retirement Actuarial area, which plays a key role in the overall infrastructure development and risk management of Prudential’s growing Pension Risk Transfer (PRT) and Longevity Risk Transfer (LRT) Business.
 
Primary responsibilities include:
  • Analyze block of in-force PRT/LRT deals performance relative to expectations to determine drivers of gains/losses
  • Develop mortality assumptions to be used in pricing future PRT/LRT deals
  • Monitor assets held to meet collateral liabilities for to ensure Prudential is adequately protected in a risk event
  • Work with clients to ensure large pricing data sets and premiums accurately reflect the underlying population
  • Work with a broad group of actuarial and business partners in a fast-paced, customer and deal-focused environment.
 

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree required, preferably in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or other highly quantitative field (i.e. Engineering)
  • Actuarial Exams are a plus
  • Deep knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Knowledge of, or exposure to, VBA macros
  • Ability to understand complex quantitative concepts and models.
  • Highly motivated, innovative, and creative problem solver and conceptual thinker
  • Superior technical skills and ability to understand complex quantitative concepts and models.
  • Ability to communicate results effectively to key stakeholders
