Position Title: ADA Case Examiner
Job Code: 422418
Job Location: Arizona-Scottsdale
Description:

The ADA Case Examiner interacts with internal and external customers including, but not limited to, claimants, employers, physicians, attorneys, vocational rehab coordinators, vendors, etc., to gather case information and documentation necessary to make the decisions or recommendations on the case.

 

Manages assigned caseload of more complex cases focused on ADA accommodations.  Coordinates support from internal resources to assist with facilitating recommendations to the employer.  Participates in the interactive discussions for ADA accommodations with the employee and employer.

Additional Absence and integrated Absence and Disability cases may be managed.  Validates payment period, follows up and monitors payment accuracy and timeliness; follows plan to closure.

 

Provides technical direction to other claims personnel as needed.

 

 


  • 2-3 years STD/FML experience
  • Americans with Disabilities Act knowledge preferred
  • Experience and demonstrated results in returning people to work with accommodations  
  • Proven skills in positive and effective interaction with challenging customers
  • Significant experience with collaborative negotiations 
  • Experience in effectively meeting/exceeding individual professional expectations and team goals
  • Demonstrated analytical and math skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills demonstrated in previous work experience 
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment
  • Ability to manage multiple and changing priorities
  • High level of flexibility to adapt to the needs of the organization
  • Strong solution mindset regarding systems, processes, customer needs and accommodations
  • Ability to identify opportunities for continuous process improvement  
  • PC skills preferred (i.e. Windows based environment)
  • Ability to learn and adapt to new technology or updates to existing technology
  • College degree and prior claim experience preferred
