The Administrative Director - Graduate Medical Education (GME) directs the efficient and effective coordination and management of medical education activities for the Acute Care Division.  This position utilizes a comprehensive understanding of national accreditation standards, supports program development, ensures regulatory compliance and accreditation, and oversees academic and financial performance.

Essential Job Duties

  • Provides oversight and guidance for Acute Care division-wide GME operations and serves as primary point of contact within UHS for initiatives related to graduate medical education.
  • Supports the GME Leadership Team in the execution of the UHS GME strategic plan to address programmatic goals and strategic objectives to ensure the success of graduate medical education initiatives.
  • Advises GME Leadership Team and UHS GME staff on national trends and best practices in graduate medical education.
  • Ensures continuous improvement of GME programs through active monitoring of performance indicators.
  • Identifies high-priority initiatives, develops work plans, supports implementation of projects and creates timelines for completion.  
Job Requirements

Bachelor's degree in healthcare management with five or more years experience in graduate medical education.

  • TAGME Certification preferred.
  • Self-motivated, professional, enthusiastic leader with excellent written/verbal communication and analytical skills.
  • Experience working in a complex healthcare system.
  • Project Management and Performance Improvement skillset.
  • Strong communication, presentation, organizational, interpersonal and influencing skills
  • Knowledge of Access and MIDAS preferred.
  • Travel potential up to 10%
