Administrative Review Consultants work closely with proposal, sales, account management and operational leads for all market segments across the customer lifecycle. This includes pre - sales support to ongoing support of account management to facilitating review of administrative non - standards and performance guarantees. Responsibilities will include supporting the administrative review process, including managing one - time deliverables and project management of customer non - standard requirements, as well as maintenance of administrative standards. Additional consultant - level responsibilities include designated consultative support of high - profile customers with complex non - standard requirements, effective discussion facilitation and negotiation, solution development (in partnership with functional areas) and written and verbal communication with a variety of audiences, including executive leadership.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Functional SME Liaison
  • Broad business approach and extensive system interdependency and operational knowledge
  • Focus on consultation and solution development
  • Resource to senior leadership
  • Develops pioneering approaches to non-standards and emerging industry trends
  • Understand client / prospect needs, benefit goals and member demographics
  • Align client needs with product offerings
  • Match client needs to our strengths
  • Facilitate requests for complex non - standard administrative and performance guarantee items, acting as intermediary between sales, RFP team and SMEs
  • Provide consultative support to internal customers to understand issues, explore alternatives, ensure functional areas are able to operationally support requirement
  • Develop and / or facilitate discussion on creative solutions to customers’ non - standard requirements
  • Support RFP activity / deliverables
  • Support pre-sales and sales activities
  • Maintain current business, systems, industry and competitive knowledge and appropriately to RFPs and sales efforts
  • Communicate final disposition and associated documentation clearly, concisely and in layperson language to requestors through tracking tool
  • Maintenance of administrative standards guide
Required Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of health care insurance industry experience
  • Undergraduate degree or related experience
  • Extensive system interdependency and operational knowledge
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects
  • Natural consultative style
  • Critical thinking skills and a focus on developing solutions to issues
  • Ability to thrive in a fast - paced, evolving environment
  • Knowledge working with request for proposals (RFPs)
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Medicare experience
  • Customer Account Manager Team experience
  • Client Service Manager experience
