The Horsham Clinic is a 206 bed private behavioral healthcare facility located on a beautiful 55-acre suburban campus. We are minutes from Philadelphia and we serve Southeastern Pennsylvania and New Jersey. The Horsham Clinic provides comprehensive behavioral health services to children, adolescents, adults, and their families. The Admission Counselor is a Master Level Clinician who provides telephonic and in person risk assessment and crisis intervention, initial contact with referral sources and potential patients, coordinates the referral and intake process, determines for appropriate level of care, facilitates the admission process and maintains communication with referral sources, families, patients and unit staff. The Admissions Counselor maintains responsibility for medical reviews, assessments as volume allows, phone management and completion of the admission process by effectively communicating cases.  This individual must be self-motivated, well organized, able to multi-task, handle sensitive material and maintain confidentiality.  

The Admission Counselor hours are 7:30am-4:00pm, 3:30pm-12:00am, 11:30pm-8:00am


The Admission Counselor must demonstrate knowledge and skill in provision of services to various populations including children, adolescents, adults, older adults and dually diagnosed patients in an inpatient and partial hospital setting.

Bachelor degree in Human Services field with 2 years relevant clinical experience in a behavioral health setting. Masters Degree preferred.

Two years prior psychiatric experience required. Prior experience in an intake, admissions, crisis setting preferred. Basic computer skills required.  Prior experience with data entry and database management.

Exposure to psychiatric patients who may exhibit violent/aggressive behavior.  Potential for exposure to communicable diseases, blood/body fluids, and other hazardous waste.
