Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY: This position is responsible for the ongoing, effective operation of the Admitting/Registration process in one of the following areas:  Main Admitting/Acute Hospital, Pavilion Admitting, or Emergency Department. Such responsibilities encompass not only the internal functioning of the departments, but also the integration of these services into the overall functioning of Northwest Texas Healthcare System.  The Admitting/Registration Supervisor supports an organizational culture for Service Excellence and practices the Service Excellence Standards to all customer groups.  Operates department of responsibility in such a way as to meet the fiscal goals of the organization. Implements value added programs and services. Manages the satisfaction of department customers to include patients, employees and physicians through effective communication and appropriate responsiveness to customer issues.

Job Requirements

EDUCATION, TRAINING, EXPERIENCE AND LICENSES/REGISTRATIONS REQUIRED:

Associate Degree in Management or health related field or equivalent experience. Two to five years of experience in a healthcare environment or hospital Admitting Department recommended. Good supervisory, interpersonal and communication skills. Flexibility, self-motivation and high tolerance for stressful situations preferred. Computer experience recommended.
