University Behavioral Center, a subsidiary of Universal Health Services, Inc. (UHS), is committed to providing intensive mental health services to children, adolescents and adults as well as detox and substance abuse programs for adults. Our mental health facility provides safe and effective inpatient treatment to assist individuals in leading more productive and fulfilling lives. The facility is located on a beautiful 14-acre campus in Orlando, Florida, and includes 112 licensed beds.

Admission Registered Nurse

The Admissions Registered Nurse is responsible for performing all aspects of the intake and admission process of patients being admitted to the hospital.  The ideal candidate must have previous Psychiatric intake experience, ability to work in an effectively rapid pace environment, answer phone calls, obtaining insurance authorizations, completing physician orders for admissions, review potential admissions from medical referral sources, and process admissions.  Candidate must have thorough knowledge of Florida Baker Act protocols.

 This is a full time position in our Admissions Department working Monday-Friday  from 7:00pm -6:30am.

Job Requirements

Position Requirements:  Graduate of an accredited RN program, Current RN State License, Previous experience in behavioral health preferred
