Position Summary:

Since 1983, Brynn Marr Hospital has specialized in quality behavioral health services for children, adolescents and adults through a comprehensive, integrated system of inpatient treatment and residential programs. Our purpose is to offer caring, effective behavioral health services for children, adolescents and adults throughout North Carolina who suffer from mental illness or chemical dependency. We welcome the opportunity to offer our Residential services to children and adolescents who reside in North Carolina.

Position Summary

Performs routine duties and selected non-professional services under the direct supervision of the Admissions Director. Participates in crisis and safety interventions and is a valuable member in the department’s performance improvement and quality measures activities.

Position scheduled 24 - 28 hours per week between the hours of 7pm - 7am.
 
Requirements

Minimum Qualifications

1. Education: Associate degree in Nursing required. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree preferred.
2. Experience: Two (2) years’ experience in behavioral health setting preferred.
3. License/Certification: Current North Carolina or compact state licensure as a Registered Nurse. 
4. Physical Requirements: Minimal. May intervene in crisis situations.

• Knowledge of emotional disturbances, DSM-V diagnosis and the ability to quickly assess patients for their risk to themselves and others.
• Ability to provide age and/or developmentally appropriate interventions based on patient population.
• Able to deal with diverse and stressful situations in a calm manner.
• Is detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy.
• Able to communicate professionally verbally and in writing.
• Strong organizational and computer technical skills.
• Knowledge of HIPAA regulations related to the position.
