Position Summary:

The IOP Counselor assists in the biopsychosocial assessment, case management and treatment of patients under the supervision of the Intensive Outpatient Program Cordinator. Primary responsibilities include the provision of four hours group therapy daily to adult population in a safe and therapeutic milieu, crisis intervention, activities of daily living and communication with referral sources and families. Provides clinical leadership on the treatment team and formulate treatment plan.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to demonstrate competency in the criteria listed in this job description. The specifications listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and ability to meet the minimum requirements for this position. Staff must demonstrate flexibility for reassignment to other partial and inpatient programs providing care to varied population including children, adolescents, adults, older adults and dually diagnosed patients.

The evening program will be held: Monday, Wednesday and Thursday.

Program Times: 530p to 930pm  or 130p to 930p


Licensure/Certification: LCSW licensed with the Nevada Board of Social Work

Experience: Over year experience working with a mental health patient population preferred. Age/population specific experience preferred.
