Accountable for the successful delivery at a Regional / Local level to the business of a highly efficient and valued CO SMS and Training service, with a broader Field Force Effectiveness focus, working across all AfME markets. Effectively liaise between regional / local stakeholders and global COEs to contribute to global SMS and Training strategies, as well as develop and execute regional/local SMS/Training/FFE strategy aligned to global and the AfME Region. Lead Regional SMS and Training Service Excellence (shared services) team and localization of global materials driven by business need and compliance requirements.


**Client Services**

+ Act as regional subject matter expert and go-to partner for SMS, Training and FFE

+ Contribute to development of global CO SMS and Training strategy and lead development of regional strategy and business needs prioritization

+ Overall responsibility of key regional stakeholder engagement and business expectations management: Partner with regional business leaders, local CO operations and Quality teams to establish an annual partnership agreement (SLAs) with clearly agreed priorities and expectations based on business demand. Have clear understanding of regional / local business needs and priorities and ability to execute to plan and within budget

+ Accountability and joint responsibility with regional BU leadership for scope, direction, priorities of Field Force Effectiveness strategy across the region - Challenge status quo to drive both Field Force productivity improvement and customer value

+ Collaborate with the rest of CO ensuring end to end service and integrated approach is delivered to business

+ Deliver business results - in partnership with the business, market operations and quality teams, and through continued focus on business "fundamentals" and innovation

**Internal Processes and Tools**

+ Acquire or establish and deploy policies, processes, systems and tools to enable Service Excellence and market Operations teams to deliver CO SMS and Training charter and vision

+ Establish and lead delivery of Service Excellence (shared services) for SMS and Training in AfME markets

+ Manage elements of the AfME CO Strategic Framework and drive improvements in the Maturity Heat Map

+ Partner with COEs on service innovations, systems and pilot programs

+ Measure and demonstrate success of CO SMS and Training interventions - demonstrate value. Partner with CO operations and Quality teams to define metrics dashboards and collect data

+ Seek out SMS and Training good practices from markets / CoE and share across the region

**Organization and Talent Development**

+ Lead regional SMS and Training organization and manage the performance of the team

+ Develop, motivate, recruit and retain talented colleagues, ensuring they are equipped with the knowledge and skills to perform effectively

+ Drive a One CO and operational excellence culture


+ Actively participate in CO and Business Operating Plan development

+ Manage regional SMS and Training budgets / LEs, people resources and legacy local/regional systems

+ Track and manage actual spending within approved budget and LEs

**Communications and Governance**

+ Input into development of global SMS and Training tools and materials

+ Work with business partners, CO operations and Quality teams to aggressively prioritize needs and manage demand; partner effectively with COEs providing regional insights and needs

+ Active member of CO Regional LT

+ Compliance and COE alignment with local legal practice

+ Effective management of stakeholder communication, in partnership with other CO teams, to achieve communications objectives

+ Periodic reporting of performance metrics and key initiatives' status

**Key performance measures:**

+ Successful implementation of assigned Key Projects / Solution that meet business needs

+ Evidence of increasing maturity levels in prioritized elements of the CO Strategic Heat Map (Financial, Client Services, Internal Processes, Organization, Governance and Communications)

+ Budget management and achievement of Regional financial targets

+ Delivery of agreed Annual partner plans (SLAs)

+ Interaction with key stakeholders and ability to prioritize needs

+ Client Satisfaction survey and other feedback from key stakeholders on value provided to business

+ Business outcomes of programs delivered

+ Alignment with legal / Compliance requirements in region / country, with "GOOD" rating on all audits


+ BA Required. Master's degree in business management or related disciplines strongly preferred

+ Proven leadership of delivering complex service solutions across geographies, experience managing large projects in a virtual environment

+ Proven pharma commercial experience

+ Experience in a sales / customer-facing role

+ Experience in driving change across organization at regional and local levels

+ Understanding of regional business and key markets

+ Strong communication, influencing and with senior stakeholder management experience

+ Proven ability to align and facilitate alignment across regional and functional groups to achieve results

+ Strong People Management skills with experience leading leaders and matrixed teams

+ 10+ years Commercial Ops experience with 5+ years of SMS, Training and/or FFE experience preferred

+ 5+ years of Management / team leadership experience

+ Ability to tolerate a high level of ambiguity, with passion for excitement, change and innovation

+ Run training as a business. Understanding of how training links to business outcomes

+ Knowledge and understanding of pharma legal / compliance requirements

+ Strong strategic thinking skills to ensure innovation and leadership of new operating model.

+ Experience in change leadership and change management

+ Stakeholder Management at a senior management level

+ Operational and strategic thinking

+ Budget management - financial acumen

+ Ability to measure and assess business outcomes of programs delivered
