**ROLE SUMMARY**



The Alliance Development Manager (ADM) is a member of the U.S. Government Relations organization and is accountable for identifying and engaging local providers and other key stakeholders including, but not limited to, patient, provider, multicultural, business and community organizations in support of Pfizer's Business Unit and Government Relations policy priorities. The successful candidate will bring a broad set of health care and advocacy experience to the position. The position will be based in Colorado.







**ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES**



Work in partnership with the U.S. Government Relations (USGR) team to develop advocacy efforts on a state level to support Pfizer's policy priorities.



Serve as an external ambassador by educating third party advocates on changing market dynamics, health care reform, access and benefit design, chronic disease treatment barriers, among other policy issues.



Brief and engage key stakeholders in Colorado, New Mexico and Nebraska on Pfizer preferred policies to explore alignment and collaboration in support of Pfizer Business Unit priorities.



Identify, recruit and manage a portfolio of state and local relationships with key patient, provider, multicultural, business, community and civic organizations to determine the potential for common advocacy interests.



Collaborate with field force and business leaders to explore opportunities that develop advocacy in support of state Business Unit policy priorities.



Engage with Business Unit state leadership teams, as assigned by Government Relations Director and/or Advocacy Professional Relations Director, to understand the needs of the business and provide advice on impact of pending or potential public policies on the success of business strategies. Develop strategies and tactics to engage key stakeholders in support of Pfizer's Business Unit policy objectives.







**QUALIFICATIONS**



BA/BS degree required.



5-10 years of previous advocacy, government relations, pharmaceutical/biotech, or health care experience preferred.



Experience working with key thought leaders or advocacy groups.



Ability to develop and motivate others, leads through change, and deliver on Pfizer policy priorities.



Ability to communicate complex topics into an understandable short narrative across a range of interested parties.







**NON-STANDARD WORK SCHEDULE, TRAVEL, OR ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS:**



Traveling 30% of the time may be a requirement for an Alliance Development Manager







**ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS**



Will partner with the Regional Business Director, regional managers, district business managers, representatives, and other Pfizer site colleagues to identify potential advocates in support of Pfizer BU's preferred policies.



Ability to work within a matrix organization across business units



Briefs, develops, and engages with advocacy organizations on Pfizer's public affairs priorities.
