Job Details

The Field-Based Alliance Development Manager (ADM) is a member of the Corporate Affairs organization. The ADM is accountable for identifying and engaging local health care providers and other key stakeholders (including chambers of commerce, patient organizations, multicultural organizations, and other allies) in support of Pfizer's public affairs priorities.



Identify, recruit and manage a portfolio of state and local relationships with key patient, provider, multicultural, business, community and civic organizations for the purposes of defining the policy-affecting positions of those organizations, and determining the potential for advocacy by those organizations in support of Pfizer preferred policies



Collaborate with the State BU field force and business leaders to seize opportunities that develop advocacy in support of state public affairs priorities



Brief and engage key stakeholders in region on Pfizer preferred policies to expedite mobilization in support of public affairs priorities



Work in partnership with the Advocacy and Professional Relations Directors to develop advocacy efforts on a state level to support advocacy strategies



Develop innovative approaches and relationships with state-based ally groups and ensure all programs and grants are aligned with public affairs priorities as defined in the state plan



Participate on BU's State support teams, as assigned by GRD and/or APR Director, to advise on the impact of pending or potential public policies on the success of marketing strategies; develop strategies and tactics to engage key stakeholders (medical and nonmedical) to support Pfizer's public affairs objectives.



Collaborate with APR Sr. Director and APR Director to ensure sharing of best practices amongst the ADMs and appropriate use of resources and communication



BA/BS Degree required. MBA or advanced degree in a related field preferred.



5-7 years of previous pharmaceutical, biotech, or medical marketing/sales experience preferred with at least three years spent in a promoted position and/or developmental role with demonstrated leadership across peer groups



Experience working with key thought leaders or advocacy groups



Ability to develop and motivate others, lead through change, and deliver on Pfizer BU public affairs priorities.



Previous management experience preferred and ability to develop and motivate others, lead through change, and deliver on Pfizer BU public affairs priorities.



This is a remote position that covers MO-KS-IN regions.



Ability to communicate complex topics into an understandable short narrative across a range of interested parties.



Traveling 25% of the time may be a requirement for an Alliance Development Manager
