Position Description:

This position conducts detailed financial analyses of store and DC inventory data to uncover and resolve issues that impact store inventory results.



Performs transactional and financial research and analyzes internal and external issues related to inventory shrink or swell, including book inventory, sales, receipts, markdowns, and shrink reserves.

Compiles or prepares reports/presentations of developed data.

Interacts with various internal and external organizations to determine impacts to store inventory results

Supports Home Depot Inventory Research team with detailed analyses for escalated issues

Partners with Financial Systems IT and Finance Integration to identify, document, resolve, and test system changes that impact store inventory results.

Gathers and correlates basic information using established and defined financial procedures

Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.
Additional Environmental Job Requirements:
Must meet reasonable deadlines, quotas or demands for accuracy and/or may be involved in some mildly difficult situations

Must be eighteen years of age or older.
Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.

Education Required:
The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a bachelor's degree program or equivalent degree in a field of study related to the job.

Years of Relevant Work Experience:
2 years

Physical Requirements:

Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.

Preferred Qualifications
A Bachelor' s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or related field is preferred.
Three years experience in Accounting or Finance is preferred.
Proficient in use of Microsoft Excel and Access is preferred.
