Description:

 

The Group Insurance Process Excellence area is seeking a highly motivated individual to assist in the execution of various control functions including regulatory and compliance monitoring functions for Distribution. This position will report to the Manager, Regulatory Supervision and will provide control support to a geographically dispersed organization of approximately 325 employees in over 30 U.S. locations. The incumbent is expected to help ensure compliance with applicable rules, regulations and company policies while partnering with local contacts, the leadership team, and corporate functions, as necessary.


Several key responsibilities of the position include:

 

·        Assisting in the creation, revision, and communication of  procedures and other tools to reinforce compliance in Distribution for compliance related topics

·        Maintaining compliance tracking spreadsheets

·        Providing training, as necessary to ensure proper understanding and utilization of compliance procedures

·        Responsibility for reviewing expense vouchers for Distribution

·        Preparing data for management reporting and advanced analytics

·        Implementing compliance oversight procedures with minimal supervision/direction

·        Responding to inquiries regarding monitoring procedures and other compliance related topics

·        Escalating issues, as appropriate, and providing periodic updates, trends and recommendations

·        Managing multiple competing priorities through effective organization and communication. 

 

 

 


  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • A minimum of one year of experience developing processes and tools to support the business, including writing procedures
  • One year of monitoring and trending data is required
  • One to two years’ experience of interaction with Distribution associates and delivery of unpopular information would be beneficial
  • Strong project management skills
  • Ability to work individually and demonstrate drive, persistence, and personal ownership of assignments
  • Ability to work in teams and actively participate in making decisions and show problem-solving capabilities
  • Ability to exercise judgment and discretion in resolving problems/issues
  • Possess strong analytical and organizational skills
  • Experience with Group Insurance products is preferred
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • Advanced Excel and/or Access skills are required
  • Proficient in Word, and PowerPoint
