Role Summary: At Pfizer, we have brought our global analytics capabilities across R&D and commercial under one powerful new organization - Business Analytics (BA) that drives insights to action for some of the most critical business questions for the company.

The BA Scaled Analytics team, is a center-led organization that delivers both Center of Expertise and Self-Service capabilities across the organization. The Global Analytic Methodology Center (GAMC) within Scaled Analytics provides global support in the areas of Promotional Resource Allocation, Field Force Design and Forecasting and is the custodian of mature advanced analytics methodologies with responsibility to frame long term analytic strategies that grow analytics impact.

The Analytics Methodology Enablement (AME) team is a regionally aligned team (Americas,EMEA and APAC) that covers areas including Segmentation, Promotional Channel Optimization and Field Force Design and is responsible for advancing the state of analytic methodologies and offerings in each region and ensuring they are localized and fit for purpose.

Role Responsibilities:

**Analytics Methodology Enablement**

+ Lead the development of BA's advanced analytics strategy and priorities in each region in partnership with other Business Analytics leaders with the objective of increasing analytics impact and advancing enterprise priorities

+ Pull through the evolution of analytic offerings in each region across key functional areas including segmentation, promotional optimization and field force design

+ Oversee and govern the execution of customized, novel and high priority analytical projects in each region

+ Partner with Regional Scaled Analytics Teams to govern delivery of regular and standardized deliverables such as ROI and field force sizing analyses

+ Synthesize analytics results and trends across regions into a global perspective and communicate this perspective to senior commercial leaders including country managers, regional and global presidents

+ Develop roadmap and build assets that support analytics democratization and enablement of other Business Analytics teams in each region

+ Support BA Analytics Innovation leaders and Analytics Methodology Design roles to develop a roadmap to move analytics capabilities from prototype towards production **Leadership**

+ Lead ~3 colleagues in fulfilling the responsibilities of their roles and be accountable for results achieved in each region

+ Provide leadership, mentoring and development guidance to team members; ensuring effective leadership and development throughout the function.

+ Ensure 100% compliance to CEP rules, regulations and guidelines. **Performance Measures**

+ Demonstrable increase in analytics impact in supported regions- measured by increase in capacity, response time and business value driven by analytical enablement

+ Talent acquisition and retention

+ 100% of Projects in compliance with CEP regulations



+ Advanced Degree in analytics related areas including management science, business decision analysis, statistics/data science, economics, finance etc


+ 5+ years' experience leading and managing analytics teams; experience leading and achieving results through matrixed organizations.

+ 10+ years of strong multi-disciplinary analytics experience, with a preference for experience in the pharmaceutical industry or management consulting,

+ Strong team player, ability to maintain strong cross-functional and cross-team ties to influence colleagues outside direct reporting structure.

+ Demonstrated ability to manage and grow talent to develop change agile teams.

**Technical skills and competencies:**

+ Strong strategic, conceptual and analytical thinking combined with the ability to lead and build relationships with partners to quickly understand business strategies, identify analytics needs and design effective solutions.

+ Proven ability to recognize interactions between insights, identify trends, proactively recognize future business needs and link them to current and future analytics.

+ Experience conducting and leading analytical projects that involve descriptive analytics, statistical modeling, effective data visualization and storytelling

+ Familiarity (hands on) with the application of statistics and data science techniques such as machine learning to solve business problems

+ Demonstrated insight and understanding of the pharma health care space (physician-level prescribing, institutional sales data, payer-prescriber-level data, formulary data, patient-level data, etc.), trends, and issues combined with experience in the areas of segmentation, marketing mix optimization and Field Force Sizing

+ Exceptional communicator: Can readily align interpersonal style with the individual needs; can understand, translate, and distill the complex, technical concepts to a layperson

+ Highly collaborative: Shares responsibility and credit; develops self and others through teamwork; comfortable working in global environment and across time zones

+ Strong at project management: Clearly articulates scope and deliverables of projects; breaks complex initiatives into detailed component parts and sequences actions appropriately; develops action plans and monitors progress independently
