Description Seeking an experienced analytics and visualization specialist to join an evolving and expanding function that is enabling an innovative and analytically-driven approach to Compliance. The Analytics and Visualization Specialist will support the Compliance Division's Analytics and Reporting Center of Excellence in the development and execution of a coordinated, cross-functional data and analytics strategy, including the development of innovative reports and analyses that help us better understand our compliance program and that support more informed, data-driven action planning and decision-making. This individual must have tested "data wrangling" skills (a background in statistics or data sciences is a plus), as well as a strong command of Alteryx, Tableau, Spotfire, and / or other advanced analytic tools.



The Analytics and Visualization specialist will report to the lead of the Compliance Division's Analytics and Reporting Center of Excellence.



Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:



+ Working closely with the Analytics and Reporting CoE Lead and other cross-functional partners, clients and internal stakeholders to support the Division's use of analytics and advanced reporting solutions to better understand and communicate compliance effectiveness;

+ Participating, and often leading, requirements gathering sessions with clients about their "vision" for a particular dashboard or analytics project, with the ability to extract and document the project's purpose, audience, key questions it is intended to answer or address, as well as functionality, delivery, etc.

+ "Wrangling" data, including the following:

+ Conducting feasibility assessments (i.e. assessing whether the necessary data exists and / or whether it is structured to support the required analyses);

+ Identifying data sources and the owners of same;

+ Coordinating with data owners to secure access to relevant data sources, and then establishing and testing same;

+ Coordinating with the client to address potential data-driven revisions to the requirements (based on limitations in the data, etc.);

+ Working with internal BT to define the technology, tools, and / or systems needed to create an optimal data model (and, in turn, coordinating with client to discuss options, costs, potential timeline impacts, etc.); and

+ Building queries, aggregations and / or statistical tests, e.g. , extract and cleanse data for easier consumption and combine and organize data sets using advanced analytic tools.

+ Building innovative reports and designing advanced analytic projects aimed at helping us better understand our compliance program and to support more informed, data-driven action planning and decision-making across a variety of compliance functions; and

+ Tracking status of projects and key deliverables.



**QUALIFICATIONS**



+ Excellent academic qualifications (Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree in mathematics, statistics, or data sciences preferred)

+ Proven capabilities, including 2+ years of work experience;

+ Strong understanding of statistical modeling and data analytic methodologies;

+ Innovative thinker with analytical and critical thinking skills;

+ A genuine interest in solving complex business problems

+ Superior project management skills, with the ability to effectively manage time, prioritize work, multi-task across many assignments, and effectively lead project teams within a complex business and organizational environment;

+ Self-motivated and able to operate independently and as part of a team;

+ Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills;

+ Strong business sense and understanding of the evolving business model;

+ Able to effectively interface across functions;

+ Knowledge of relational databases, information architecture, data warehousing, ETL and SQL;

+ Strong understanding of Alteryx, Tableau, Spotfire and other data visualization or analytics tools;

+ Experience with data science programming in R, Python or SAS a plus.
