+ Global Performance and Portfolio Optimization Lead will be a member of the Anti-Infectives Cross Functional Leadership Team.

+ This individual will be responsible for aligning with key marketing stakeholders in the development of an optimized financial marketing plan including supporting the execution of resource optimization across core Anti-Infectives markets

+ The lead is responsible for the framework to optimize investments across the therapeutic areas and for the internal portfolio management process.

+ This role drives the decision making process about investment mix and maximization, asset allocation and prioritization of new/ongoing initiatives

+ This role will provide strategic guidance on business development, market dynamics and competitor intelligence and partner closely with colleagues from Finance, BAI, PI&H, Medical, Clinical & the CBO Team as the business owner of the AI Insights Engine


+ Lead and own the key marketing stakeholders alignment process in the development of an optimized financial marketing plan

+ Works closely with the AI Global Portfolio Lead and X-Functional LT to establish relevant business metrics and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

+ Business owner for the development and ongoing management of the AI Insights Engine working in close partnership with Finance, BAI, PI&H, Medical, Clinical and CBO Team

+ Supports the development of commercial business cases including BD assessments through for the AI GP. This role advises on accurate assessment aligned with the strategy to deliver the greatest value to PEH.

+ Leads implementation of AI Global Marketing Tactical Matrix, monitors and measures Global Marketing deliverables to ensure efficiency.

+ Provides comprehensive business analysis with input from BAI and other cross-functional partners to AI GP annual strategic Operating Plan to ensure efficient allocation of resources through financial valuation, strategic insights and knowledge of AI GP Strategy.

+ Leads the monthly performance reporting process; works with Finance, BAI, Global Brand Directors, Regional and local colleagues to ensure monthly performance is accurately and promptly reported to relevant stakeholders - analyses and interprets findings then makes recommendations to the AI LT

+ Responsible for ensuring forecasting quality and robustness across the AI portfolio at a global and market level. Specific focus on the launch and targeted brands in the prioritized 20 AI markets and in partnership with finance and BAI.

+ Represents the global commercial team on the AI Development PST. Works with global, regional and local markets to assess the commercial attractiveness of regulatory submissions (new country launches, new indications, label updates etc)

+ Provides strategic recommendations to the AI XF Team and commercial colleagues based on analysis and insights generated through AI portfolio performance and financial data, market research, the AI Insights Engine, CI and/or news flow -

+ Accountable for managing the global commercial market research plan and budget. Partnering closely with BAI in order to complete key elements of the plan and the Brand Leads to determine key brand insights priorities. Once research project are completed, co-leads with BAI feedback to the relevant teams and makes necessary recommendations

+ Supports the global commercial team in reviewing market level brand plans, forecasts, market research etc, and provides strategic insight and recommendations


+ Extensive pharmaceutical industry experience with broad knowledge of the industry and healthcare environment

+ Strong anti-infectives experience with deep understanding of the therapy area, physician and patient dynamics, competitors and the AI portfolio. Experience working in a global context is essential and good knowledge of the healthcare systems and dynamics in key global markets (EU5, Brazil, Russia, Mexico, China etc)

+ Experience in partnering with Analytics & Insights colleagues to ensure delivery of a wide range of market research and insight projects, across the product lifecycle, to support strategic decision making recommendations

+ Experience leading and managing due diligence or commercial assessment projects across the product lifecycle to support business development activities and/or internal investment decisions (acquisitions, divestments, toll gates, LCM initiatives, geographical opportunity assessments)

+ Ability to think strategically and exhibit good commercial judgement. Proven ability to analyze and interpret a wide range of data sources (financial, MR, macro) and present crisp, clear, concise commercial recommendations to leadership

+ Experience working in complex virtual matrix organizations

+ Strong project management and interpersonal skills , as well as excellent verbal communication and presentation skills

+ Experience working across cultures and partnering with colleagues who represent a diverse selection of experiences and skills


+ University degree in Science, Health Sciences or Business

+ Second degree preferable
