The Horsham Clinic is a 206 bed private behavioral healthcare facility located on a beautiful 55-acre suburban campus. The Admissions Counselor (ARC) provides telephonic and in person risk and crisis intervention. The ARC Counselor is the initial contact made with referral sources and potential patients. The ARC Counselor coordinates the referral and intake process, then determines the appropriate level of care. The ARC Counselor is responsible for facilitating the admissions process and maintaining communication with referral sources, families, patients, and unit staff. The ARC Counselor is responsible for phone management and completion of the admissions process by effectively communicating cases to the Shift Coordinator.

Job Requirements
  • 2-3 years experience working in Mental Health setting
  • Masters in Psychology/Human Services/Counseling/Social Work required
  • Exposure to psychiatric patients who may exhibit violent/ aggressive behavior. General hospital environment.
  • Must be willing to work with children, and adolescents
  • Highly Developed written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to plan, direct, and monitor others activities with demonstrated leadership abilities that contribute to a positive work environment.
  • Proficiency with common computer based applications such as electronic mail, word processing and various databases
