The vision of the Public Sector organization is to help governments protect, educate, and serve citizens at the national, state, and local level. Our organization serves six market segment verticals: Civilian, Defense, Education, Healthcare, Intel, and State/Local Government. 

Who You’ll Work With
As a Cisco Area Sales Manager, you will engage with customer executive leaders to discuss business relevant solutions and articulate advantages relative to business outcomes within Public Sector. In this role, you will be able to demonstrate knowledge of working with complex technical accounts coupled with the ability to negotiate solutions with peers, partners and customers using a Win/Win philosophy for success in this position. 

Who You Are
As an Area Sales Manager for Cisco, you will possess a keen ability to position "end to end" solutions and articulate primary vendor strategies with customer executives within a diverse set of key accounts within the Federal Government, focusing specifically on key intelligence agencies. This position will require building executive relationships inside and outside of IT to relate Cisco’s impact to customer business imperatives. Your knowledge of running a sales territory includes forecasting, quota attainment, sales presentations, account planning and relationship mapping. Demonstrated successes will be evident by your overachievement of quota. You are skilled with being able to call at multiple levels within your customer base. As part of your DNA, you are an aggressive, self-starter, with ability to build executive relationships, articulate Cisco's product and business strategies, and create the demand that makes deals happen. 

 Our minimum requirements for the role are:
-Strong collaboration skills and relationships with vendor ecosystem 
-Strong skills in prospecting, replacing a competitive incumbent, and protecting the installed base 
-Demonstrated knowledge of a process for managing a large territory including pipeline development and partner engagement 
-Operational excellence in forecasting, exceeding quota, account planning and presentation skills 
- Ability to deliver business value to the account and build on customer relationships 

-Strong technical knowledge preferred with Cisco products 
-BS degree or equivalent 
-3-5+ years successful sales experience within the high tech industry

- Active security clearance
