What You'll Do:
As the Art Director for Digital Marketing, you will translate the Cisco brand to our digital platforms. You will lead and inspire a team of visual designers, while establishing the future visual approach to Cisco's digital touchpoints. You will participate in the Cisco.com discovery process to identify business goals, audience needs, and changing trends in industry. Working closely with brand and the business units, you will define a clear visual strategy to unify our visual language across products and platforms. We will count on your analytical approach to solve complex visual problems with the site's content and components.

You will establish a consistent, distinct, and inspiring digital identity that promotes brand personality across all digital touch points. You will present visual concept designs to senior leadership and stakeholders and lead end-to-end visual design processes including concept work, sketching, prototyping, and specifications. 

Who You'll Work With:
You will work with Cisco's Digital Marketing organization which will lead the next evolution in customer experience through promotion of Cisco products and software through digital channels (web, social, media, mobile, direct mail, point of sale, etc..). 

Who You Are:
You are enthusiastic about technology and how it can change business processes and the world. You have a BA/BS degree in a related field, over 8 years of professional experience as a visual/UI designer, and at least 2 years in a creative leadership role. You have been working agency-side or with a large, global brand. 

Our minimum requirements for this role are:

- BA/BS Degree
- 8+ years of experience as a visual/UI designer, within an agency environment or large global brand
- 2+ years in a creative leadership role
- Experience with user centered design methodologies and with trends affecting digital interactive product design, mobile, and responsive web design
- Expert in digital design disciplines including visual design, interaction design, motion graphics, communication design, and information design, with attention to detail.
- Extensive experience in elements of visual style such as typography, color, and layout.
- Knowledge of design best practices impacting search engine optimization.

Our preferred requirement for this role are:

- Ability to lead cross functionally and to manage multiple projects in a complex business environment
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
- Expert prototyping & visual communication skills (Sketch, InVision, Omnigraffle)
- Strong working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite and AEM
- Ability to give actionable critique and feedback on designs, and to coach designers with less experience.
- Strong portfolio showcasing experience in concept work and execution.
- Knowledge and understanding of applying user research (task analysis, user scenarios) to inform design decisions
- Familiarity with front-end development (HTML, CSS) 
- Experience designing for big data
