Job Details


Responsible for managing the facility cleaning and sanitization program for environmentally classified areas. Supervises crews of aseptic service workers. Monitors aseptic core to ensure continual compliance with cGMP's, proper aseptic technique/clean room behaviors, and facility cleaning/sanitization schedules. Performs technique observations of and provides feedback to aseptic operators.


+ Supervises the Aseptic Service Workers to ensure proper cleaning and sanitization of the aseptic cores and controlled environment areas. Coordinates the department labor schedule and responsible for maintaining operations and expenditures within the department budget.

+ Functions as the team lead for issue resolution regarding events that impact the aseptic quality of the manufacturing environment. Leads team of Production, Engineering, Biological Quality, etc. colleagues at all levels (management, supervision, hourly support) to assure event is contained and appropriate steps are taken to mitigate risk to product and the environment. Uses critical problem solving skills to provide a holistic assessment of the event and resolution to minimize impact and downtime.

+ Responsible to assess environmental monitoring trends for effectiveness of the cleaning and sanitization programs and implement corrections and continuous improvement initiatives.

+ Functions as the lead and coordinating activities to return manufacturing areas to aseptic conditions following plant shutdowns.

+ Monitors aseptic core to insure continual compliance with cGMP's and facility construction/maintenance requirements.

+ Performs evaluations on personnel and environment in the aseptic core. Provides corrective action when necessary.

+ Responsible for training aseptic core personnel on proper aseptic gowning procedures, aseptic technique and related GMP practices.

+ Any other duties as assigned.

Night shift (start time 1800). 12 hour rotating schedule.

Aseptic gowning required


Requires a bachelor's degree, preferably in a science related field and at least 4 hours of microbiology courses, or equivalent experience. Two years clean room experience or equivalent preferred. A basic understanding of aseptic conditions, microbiology concepts, and how technique impacts quality of product.
