Position Summary:
Fort Lauderdale Hospital is a fully licensed, 100-bed, private hospital that specializes in the treatment of drug addiction, mental health issues and co-occurring disorders for adults and adolescents.

The Assessment and Referral Coordinator performs integrated assessments for individuals presenting for evaluation and provides information to individuals call the facility.
 
Requirements
Education/Training:
• Registered Nurse (RN), Paramedic, and/or Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in social work, psychology, mental health counseling or related field

Experience:
• Two (2) or more years experience in intake assessment activities within an acute psychiatric setting.
• Minimum two (2) years experience in a psychiatric hospital setting including customer contact.

Licensure/Certification:
• Licensed to practice in the State of Florida as a RN, LCSW, LMHC, Paramedic or licensed psychologist preferred.
• CPR certification
• TEAM Training must be completed within 3 months of hire

Knowledge and Skills:
• Knowledge of crisis intervention techniques.
• Knowledge of standards for treatment in mental health and substance abuse.
• Knowledge of DSM-IV diagnoses.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to multitask and strong organizational skills.
• Knowledge of community resources.
