Coral Shores Behavioral Health is an 80 bed state of the art behavioral health facility located in Stuart, Florida. The facility is an all adult, Baker Act receiving facility.  Coral Shores Behavioral Health is a subsidiary of Universal Health Services. UHS is one of the nation's largest and most respected healthcare management companies. We are pleased to announce the following position in which we are recruiting:

Assessment Clinician - Mobile Crisis Unit

The Assessment Clinician for the Mobile Crisis Unit performs psychosocial screening and evaluations of potential patients, voluntary and involuntary, for individuals with primary psychiatric or behavioral issues when called to a specific location by the facility,  The Clinician provides accurate evaluation of medical necessity, determines appropriate level of care, facilitates the admissions process and maintains communication with referral sources.  

This is an on-call position - compensation is provided for being on-call as well as for time spent completing the assessments

On Call hours are between 12pm and 8pm Monday  - Friday.

Clinicians will be called to conduct assessments at local hospitals, psychiatrist offices, primary care physician offices and therapist offices.

Territory covered: Stuart, Jensen Beach, Port St Lucie, Hobe Sound and Jupiter

 

Job Requirements

Education: 

Masters in Social Work , Counseling or Psychology

Experience:

2 - 4 years of mobile crisis assessment experience

Other:

Thoroughly understands the management of patient aggression and de-escalation techniques.

Knowledge of The

Joint Commission, CMS and  Baker Act as well as all other relevant state and federal regulatory standards .

Ability to work independently and efficiently
