Arrowhead Behavioral Health is currently seeking an outgoing and energetic individual for our open
Per Diem Night Shift Assessment Clinician position.
Our Assessment Clinicians complete a Bio/Social Assessment on the perspective patient. Consults with facility physicians. Provides information to callers regarding treatment and the facility, presents treatment options, documents calls and sets appointments for callers seeking treatment as well as completes a call inquiry sheet for each phone call. Explains hospital regulations such as visiting hours, items that can and cannot be brought into facility. The Clinician escorts patient or arranges for escort to the patient care unit. Provides data entry of patient admitting information into computer. Interprets treatment to patient and family to help reduce fear and other attitudes obstructing acceptance of care and continuation of treatment. Clinician refers and triages patients to other sources of treatment when appropriate. Other duties may be assigned.

Education: MSW with an LSW or LISW from Ohio; or a Master's Degree in Counseling with a LPC or LPCC from Ohio or a licensed RN in Ohio.
Previous experience in a mental health or substance abuse treatment facility preferred.
This individual must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills. Diplomacy and discretion are essential, as well as excellent organizational skills and the ability to prioritize multiple projects. Professional demeanor and appearance required.
