Mayhill Hospital is seeking a dynamic and talented Assessment and Ref Coordinator. Mayhill Hospital located in Denton, TX just north of Dallas and Fort Worth, is a 59-bed private psychiatric hospital specializing in mental health and chemical dependency care for adults and seniors. We are one of the few facilities in the area that can provide care to those individuals with both coexisting psychiatric and medical conditions. We are uniquely trained to provide care to seniors who have exhausted their psychiatric days. The Assessment and Ref Coord is responsible for assisting in the process of responding to referrals and other requests for services and information. The Assessment and Referral Coord provides technical assistance to the discharge planning process, under the direction of the Director of Assessment/Refs. Provides general support to the case management program.

Job Requirements

Education:  Associates Degree as a Registered Nurse or Master's Degree in a human relations field preferred.

Experience. Preferably two or more years experience in intake assessment activities within an acute psychiatric setting preferred. A minimum of two (2) years experience in a psychiatric hospital setting including customer contact preferred.

Licensure: Licensed to practice in the State of Texas as a mental health professional preferred. Required Licensure: LPC, LCP-Intern, LMSW, or LCSW and/or RN

Additional Requirements: A working knowledge of the DSM-IV and the Mental Status Exam. Aworking knowledge of the Addiction and Recovery field preferred. CPR and successful training in Handle with Care offered by hospital.
