Position Summary: Assist the Director by coordinating daily operations on the assigned shift.

Brentwood Behavioral Healthcare of MS, a 107-bed acute psychiatric care facility. Licensed by the state of MS, Brentwood is leading provider of quality psychiatric treatment services specializing in treatment for adults, children and adolescents. 1.  RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE  

  • Answers phone promptly, greets callers courteously, showing genuine concern.

  • Identifies presenting problems and needs of callers, scheduling a face to face clinical assessment when indicated.

  • Accurately determines caller’s appropriateness for Brentwood services.

  • Facilitates appropriate callers access to optimal level of care within the Brentwood system.

  • Refer callers who are not appropriate for Brentwood’s services to other optimal services provider as necessary, effectively matching caller’s needs and resources with available services.

 

  • Bonds and identifies problems thoroughly within a short period of time.
  • Is consistently successful in scheduling face-to-face assessments.

 

  • Orients new employees to assessment and referral policies and procedures, conveying accurate information in supportive and courteous manner.

  • Notifies managers of procedural problems or resistant staff members.

  • Is patient and direct when dealing with unit and reception staff.

  • Readily accepts assignments.

  • Provides training to other employees on taking assessment calls

  • Manages own time and workload.

 

Job Requirements

Minimum: A Master’s degree in a liberal arts field

Preferred:  A Master’s degree in Psychology or Social Work with a license to practice in Mississippi or a Registered Nurse with behavioral health experience.
