Position Summary:

Cedar Hills Hospital - located just 15 minutes from downtown Portland - is an 89-bed, private psychiatric hospital specializing in mental health and chemical dependency care that allows our patients to take the first step to recovery. We provide a wide range of services and programs that offer evidence-based treatment proven to have positive outcomes for our patients. Our inpatient and outpatient services offer supportive and compassionate care through specialty programs that are tailored to meet the needs of our patients.

The Intake Coordinator responsible for coordination of assessments of incoming patients with Intake Counselors, coordinates Doctor’s assessments and initiates the Admission process with the Admissions Clerk. The Intake Coordinator provides technical assistance to the discharge planning process, under the direction of the Director of Assessment Services.

 
Requirements

„« Education: Bachelor's degree or four years of Mental Health experience.
„« Experience: Two or more years experience in intake assessment activities within an acute psychiatric setting with supervisory experience. A minimum of two (2) years experience in a psychiatric hospital setting including customer contact.
„«  Additional Requirements: A working knowledge of the DSM-V and the Mental Status Exam. A working knowledge of the Addiction and Recovery field.
„« Training: Successful completion of Crisis Management and Service Excellence training must occur within 90 days of employment and prior to assisting in any restraining procedures. Must be able to pass a competency exam for the area upon hire. May be required to work occasional overtime and flexible hours.
