Peachford Hospital is seeking a dynamic and talented Assessment Counselor.

Located in the beautiful Dunwoody neighborhood of Atlanta, Peachford features individual units for children, adolescents, adults and seniors, serving residents of Georgia and beyond. We offer inpatient acute care, as well as partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient programs. (www.peachford.com)

The Assessment Counselor will assess the needs of walk-in and phone callers and ensure their referral to the service or resource to best address their needs.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Respond to telephone and face-to-face inquiries seeking mental health care or information about mental health related services. 
  • Facilitate callers to optimal level of care or resources.
  • Conduct clinical assessments utilizing appropriate forms and in a timely manner.
  • Document calls and related information on Intake Call form and enter data.
  • Review programs periodically to stay abreast of services provided.
  • Adhere to all safety policies and safe work practice.
  • Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

Previous 911 or crisis intervention/hotline experience required.  Applicant must hold a Master’s degree in a related clinical area. Previous hospital setting experience preferred.
