Rivendell Behavioral Hospital is a 125-bed psychiatric and chemical dependency treatment facility. Rivendell has served Kentucky, Tennessee and Indiana for more than 25 years. Rivendell is searching for an Assessment and Referral Clinician. This is an excellent career opportunity, available for a health care professional who desires to directly impact the patient services provided at Rivendell Behavioral Health Hospital. Under the direction of the Assessment and Referral Supervisor, the Assessment and Referral Clinician assures smooth and orderly admissions into the hospital.


MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Accepting inquiry calls and scheduling assessments.
2. Performing initial clinical assessments to determine level of care.
3. Coordination and disposition of all referral calls to appropriate level of care.
4. Scheduling and coordinating admissions with psychiatrists and nursing staff, and completion of all admission paperwork.
5. Coordination and follow-up of all after hour calls and admits.
6. Completing precertification information and forwarding to appropriate agencies, in conjunction with Business Office and Case Management.
7. Communication with referral sources to inform them of client disposition.

 
Requirements

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:


Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing or with a master’s degree in psychology, social work, or professional counseling

Experience: Two or more years’ experience in a mental health setting preferred. Must possess knowledge of major aspects of psychiatric treatment of population served.

Licenses/Certificates: Licensed, as a social worker, marriage and family counselor or professional counselor per the state of Kentucky’s licensure and regulation standards.
