The Assessment and Referral Therapist performs integrated assessments for individuals presenting for evaluation and provides information to individuals call the facility.

Job Requirements

• Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in social work, psychology, mental health counseling or related field

Experience:
• Two (2) or more years experience in intake assessment activities within an acute psychiatric setting.
• Minimum two (2) years experience in a psychiatric hospital setting including customer contact.

Licensure/Certification:
• Licensed to practice in the State of Florida as a LCSW, or LMHC.
• CPR certification
• TEAM Training must be completed within 3 months of hire

Knowledge and Skills:
• Knowledge of crisis intervention techniques.
• Knowledge of standards for treatment in mental health and substance abuse.
• Knowledge of DSM-IV diagnoses.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to multitask and strong organizational skills.
• Knowledge of community resources.
