Palmetto Lowcountry Behavioral Health is seeking a dynamic and energetic ASSISTANT DIRECTOR OF ADMISSIONS

Palmetto Lowcountry Behavioral Health offers a 108 Bed Inpatient Psychiatric Hospital for Acute Psychiatric and Substance Use Disorders. We offer both inpatient and outpatient services. Services are offered for adolescents, adults and seniors.

Assistant Director of Admissions

Key Responsibilities include :

Under the direction of the Director of Admissions, the Assistant Director of Admissions provides direction for the Intake Admissions Department in a manner consistent with the philosophy and objectives of the Hospital and within the framework of established policies and procedures of the Department of Admissions. The Assistant Director is responsible for the clinical leadership and coordination of patient flow and staff productivity in the Intake department. As a key team member in the intake and admissions area, the Assistant Director promotes a climate of effective performance through role modeling, willingness to learn and teach, and availability to patients and staff. The Assistant Director assures smooth and orderly admissions into the hospital. Receives incoming admission inquiry calls, assesses patients for admission, and makes appropriate referrals. The Assistant Director also participates in staff evaluation, shift leadership, and provides task assignment and accountability necessary to complete all admissions related duties for their shift.

Job Requirements

 

Education:  Masters prepared Social Worker, MA, or RN required.

Experience:  A minimum one year of supervisory experience preferred; experience as an assessment counselor preferred.  Inpatient experience preferred.
