Position Summary:

Windmoor Healthcare, located in Clearwater Florida is a 144-bed comprehensive behavioral health care facility that provides a wide range of inpatient and partial hospitalization programs and services. Our facility has been providing intensive treatment of dual diagnosis issues and the comprehensive approach is highly individualized, designed to guide patients and their families through the process of intervention, assessment and treatment. We are currently seeking an Assistant Director of Assessment & Referrals to join our team. (Shift:  3p to 11p Monday - Friday)

The Assistant Director will assist the Director of A&R with management of the department by supervising staff, coordinating scheduling, managing patient flow, reviewing paperwork, shadowing staff to ensure processes are effective, interacting with Nursing Supervisors, maintaining statistics, conducting chart reviews, and implementing procedures which ensure admissions are completed efficiently and accurately. The Assistant Director assists with answering intake calls, processing inquiries, reviewing walk-in assessments and completing nurse-to-nurse reports with referring hospitals. This position also maintains records to ensure compliance with Florida Statutes, Joint Commission, AHCA, DCF and HCFA requirements. The Assistant Director may be on call for the department to answer questions or respond to situations and also assists the Director of A&R with projects when assigned.

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education
• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing, Social Work, Counseling, Health Management or related field from an accredited college or university.

Experience
• Five (5) years supervisory/management experience required.
• Minimum of five (5) year’s experience in a psychiatric/substance abuse inpatient facility.
• Previous customer service and hospital intake/admissions experience preferred.
• Direct clinical experience in psychiatric setting: situational evaluation and crisis intervention experience preferred.

Licensures/Certifications
• Current Florida State Registered Nurse license
• Current Florida Driver’s License
• Current CPR Certification


Must be able to pass the AHCA live scan fingerprinting background screen.
