Position Description:
Position Purpose:
The Associate Affiliate Marketing Manager is responsible for leveraging third party marketing companies to generate leads, appointments, and sales for Home Depot’s home services business. The incumbent will oversee the performance marketing channel and play a key role in developing our lead generation strategy. This role is responsible for identifying, vetting, negotiating with, and on-boarding lead gen partners that will be held to the highest standards of business ethics and quality. Customer experience and safeguarding The Home Depot brand are paramount. The management of online tracking and optimization technologies and vendors will also be a key part of the role.

The successful candidate will work cross-functionally with internal teams, including merchandising, core marketing, and IT to understand business objectives and establish joint goals. This role will be responsible for structuring lead generation campaigns across various tactics and payout models, including cost-per-lead, cost-per-appointment, cost per-call, and cost-per-acquisition on Home Depot’s websites. The Associate Manager will deeply analyze and understand campaign performance data and examine dispositions throughout the lead and sales funnel, managing budgets and optimizing for various KPIs with the goal of maximizing lead volume, lead quality, and the best possible return on investment.

Major Tasks, Responsibilities & Key Accountabilities:

  • 50%- Analyzing and optimizing campaign performance across the portfolio of affiliates and home services programs. Synthesizing and manipulating data to uncover hidden trends that identify where improvements can be made. Managing budgets and building leads and sales forecasts.
  • 20%- Working closely with affiliates to ensure full transparency and gain a thorough understanding of their lead gen practices. Identifying actions that will improve lead quality and increase volume. Educating affiliates on Home Depot business objectives and processes, and ensuring their integrity to protect the Home Depot brand.
  • 15%- Discovering and evaluating new lead source opportunities, partnerships, and technologies, including occasional travel to industry-related trade shows.
  • 15%- Meeting with a contingent of internal stakeholders, including marketing, merchandising, contact centers, product managers, IT, analytics, and field leadership to continually learn a complex business and understand how your channel supports their needs. Preparing presentations and KPI dashboards that communicate channel health.

Nature and Scope:
  • This position reports to the Sr Manager of Online Marketing.
  • This position has no direct reports.

Environmental Job Requirements:
Environment: Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.
Travel: Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.


ESSENTIAL SKILLS:
Standard Minimum Qualifications:

  • Must be eighteen years of age or older.
  • Must pass pre-employment test if applicable.

Additional Minimum Qualifications:
Master's Degree + 3 years’ experience OR Bachelor's Degree + 5 years’ experience

Education Required:
The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a bachelor's degree program or equivalent degree in a field of study related to the job.

Physical Requirements:
Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience managing large budgets with performance marketing campaigns using a variety of tactics and payout structures.
  • Experience measuring, calculating, reporting on, and understanding the relationship between a variety of performance metrics in a leads-based business, including impressions, clicks, click through rate, bounce rate, conversion rate, sit rate, close rate, average order value, revenue per lead, and return on ad spend.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of digital and phone call tracking technologies, marketing and analytics pixels, attribution, URL parameters, and lead posting methods.
  • Solid understanding of the principle mechanics of a variety of digital marketing channels, including SEO, SEM, Display, Social, Email, and Digital Directories.

  • Strong analytically with demonstrated data manipulation and excel skills
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills with proficiency in Power Point
